Arabian Celts

About Us

The Arabian Celts GAA Club was founded in 2008. It is the amalgamation of two previous Clubs in the area, the Bahrain Irish & Naomh Abdullah Dhahran from the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. The Bahrain-based club has epitomised all that is great about Gaelic Games in the Middle East.

Since then the Club has landed silverware at various tournaments across the Middle East as well as the Asian Gaelic Games in Bangkok in 2009, and was voted All Asia Club of the Year in 2011.

Off the pitch it has gained a reputation as a warm, welcoming and enthusiastic Club and the Games in Bahrain have grown in popularity over the last few years and it has quickly established itself as "the one" that all teams travel to every year.

There are currently two Men's Teams at the Club and a Ladies Team and with the rapid expansion of Ladies football it looks like we will have a 2nd Ladies Team in the near future.

The Kids Gaelic Football was launched in January 2011 and is growing with a lot of interest from Irish Families and many other nationalities on the island.
